She was the one he couldn’t afford to let get away. But for years Jean De La Rue tried his best to forget the woman whose memory imprinted itself on his very soul. It might be madness but his need was too great to deny forever. He had to have her back.

What happened in the past should remain in the past…or not. Emma Duncan tried not to think about the man she met fourteen years ago because it only ended in her wanting a repeat performance of the naughty things he’d done to her, preferably all night long. But her libido would have to take a backseat to the questions she needed answers to. Her son’s life depended on it.

Gargoyles The Forgotten edition by Nia K Foxx Helen Woodall Literature Fiction eBooks

I have to say that Nia has really put her foot in it with this series. I am a huge fan of shifter novels and this one is great. In a sense it reminds me of the cartoon that use to come on , now I"m telling my age ...ha ha.

The Gargoyles in this series has their own personalities and are so Alpha . I have a thing about Alpha males. I enjoyed the story and as usually when you like a story it ends to fast, so you have to sit back and wait on the next Gargoyle to find his love . Jean and Emma were great characters , they made you feel what was happening .

Loved it, I would recommend this book and the series if you are looking for a great read.

Gargoyles The Forgotten edition by Nia K Foxx Helen Woodall Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This was a nice surprise.I didn't know what to expect.I like paranormal books very much and it was refreshing to see an African American heroine with an otherworldly hero ) it seems I found another author I like, I even bought the next two books in the series )
A must read for the Gargoyles series. This is a good comeback from the 2nd one. Ms. Foxx really kept me on my toes on this one. Can't wait for the next one to come out. I hope it's Alexis story.
I love the Gargoyle series by Nia Foxx and this book is no exception. I like the fact that Jean is definitely an alpha male, but not as domineering as his brother Lorn and his friend Sergei. He was determined to not subject his mate to the same over-bearing behavior he saw other Protectors exhibit with their mates. Also, I gotta say, I loved Will. What a great kid!

By the way Nia, PLEASE find Alexi a Fledgling mate so his mean, ornery behind won't turn to stone.
Nobody does gargoyles like Ms. Foxx!

This is the long awaited story about Jean and his mate Emma. Jean was first introduced in Gargoyles Mate as the even tempered level headed younger brother of Lorn.

Basically, Jean had a one night stand with Emma 14 years ago. Fast forward 14 years and you have strong willed Emma raising her son ( who she is learning may not be 100% human), Jean searching for the "one who got away" but not knowing he is a dad, and some troublesome otherworldly creatures learning that there is an unprotected baby gargoyle out there.........Oh the excitement!

I was on the edge of my seat and talking to the characters like at a movie!

Love the gargoyle series and anxiously awaiting the next book. Well done Ms Foxx!
I am so glad I bought this book despite the bad reviews as I did with the previous book in this oh so addicting series. I loved it! Yes there was some irritating things about the heroin but over all I really enjoyed her character particularly her relationship with her son. She was a firm yet loving mother who was very protective of her son, that alone redeemed any of her negative qualities. I am glad I ignored the negative reviews and gave this book a chance, in fact every book in this series will be an automatic buy for me. I LOVE this series and have not been disappointed yet ,and I can't wait until the next one!
Because I had read the 1st two book on the gargoyles series I expected these main characters to meet much sooner in the book than they did. I understand that you had to give info leading up to them meeting again but it took tooooooo long for that to happen. I had to skim towards the middle of the book just to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. If there is going to be another book in this series, I suggest that the main character is Alex and his true mate.
I am a fan of shifter stories and Ms. Foxx writes shifter stories are among the best!! Jean is alpha male who is sexily moral in all of his actions. This story was full humor and had me shaking my head at Emma. Emma is the female lead, she's tall(6ft), African American and in denial. I love it characters are written in such a way that it makes me to throttle them. I also love stories where there are children involved, it makes my heart smile. A tale with supernatural beings isn't complete without having an villain. Nia did not disappoint, you gave someone to hate on. If you want to be truly entertained, Gargoyle's The Forgotten is the e-book to buy. You will not be able to put it down until the last page!!!
